Volt Information Sciences, Inc. and its affiliates and any of its sister companies (“Company” or “Volt”) is a talent and technology consulting firm that provides end to end talent and technology solutions to enterprises around the world. Our technology services include, but are not limited to, Digital, Cloud, Analytics, and AI solutions as well as technology consulting. Our talent solutions business includes the recruiting, placement, and management of contingent and full-time employees.
Volt is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. Accordingly, we have developed this Privacy Notice for you to understand how we collect, use, communicate, disclose, and make use of “Personal Data” (which means information that could personally identify you) through our website.
The terms “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the Company.
The term “Site” refers to the official website of the Company, www.volt.com.
The terms “user,” “you,” and “your” refer to all visitors and users of the Site, including Candidates. The term “Candidate” refers to Site visitors who have registered on the Site. The term “registered” refers to users who have provided Personal Data in connection with creating an account or otherwise registering on the Site.
Use of the Site, including all information presented on it and all online services provided by the Company, is subject to this Privacy Notice.
By using our Site and accessing and using its services, you agree to this Privacy Notice, without modification, and acknowledge reading it. If a user does not agree with the terms of this Privacy Notice, they should stop using the Site immediately.
Further, this Privacy Notice reflects our compliance obligations under applicable data protection laws, including but not limited to:

Who does this Privacy Notice protect?
This Privacy Notice applies to all Site visitors, Candidates, and all other users of the Site. If we wish to use the data for any new purpose, not listed in this Privacy Notice, we will give notice on our Site or where required by law, obtain consent prior to commencing such processing.
What information do we collect and how do we process such information?
When you use or register with the Site, some of the data that we collect and receive from you is Personal Data. We process this information to provide recruitment and related services.
The categories of Personal Data we may request from Candidates include:
- Personal details: Name, address, phone number, email address, date of birth, government issued identification document (passport, drivers license, or other identification documents, such as, but not limited to PAN card and/or Aadhaar, only where permitted under law or voluntarily provided)
- Position or professional or employment related information: We may also ask for your job search criteria and preferences, your employment experience, educational history, your skills in various areas, reference information, background information, and other information contained in your resume, and any login ID and password created by you. It is also possible to upload your resume/CV, cover letters, and any other attachments you may wish us to consider.
- Commercial information, such as queries/comments or feedback submitted by the user. It also includes the correspondence between Company and user through the dedicated email id.
- Marketing Information such as social media handle or other online identifiers such as the IP address. It also includes the analytics and profiles of the individual based on the data collected on them.
- Cookie(s) and geolocation data: We may collect your cookies, which will be in accordance to the Cookie Policy and consent, and geolocation data in some circumstances.
- Additional information: Any other details Candidates choose to share during the application or interview process.
How are we collecting Personal Data?
Information Collected Directly by the Company
- On the LET’S TALK page: We collect Personal Data through the Contact Us page and through lead generation and audience intent forms on our Site pages
- Use of the Site: We collect Personal Data provided by the users while using the Site or for subscribing to our services.
- On the FIND JOBS page: We collect Personal Data that the Candidates voluntarily submit while applying for jobs, and we use it for recruitment-related activities and to further process the job application.
- Email communication: When a user sends us an email, we may collect Personal Data that the user freely provides to us. We may also collect Personal Data that users post publicly on our Site.
- Information from other sources: We collect Personal Data when a user voluntarily uploads information, sends us emails, completes customer surveys, provides feedback, or participates in competitions.
Information Collected Indirectly by the Company
- Internet and network related activity when you visit our Site: We use cookies and web beacons to collect data on how you use our Site, including your IP address, internet domain, browser type, type of operating system you use, domain name of your internet service provider, pages visited, and length of time spent on the Site.
- Other sources: We may receive Personal Data about users from other sources including vendors, background service providers, auditors, etc.
How do we process your Personal Data?
We process Personal Data about you for the purposes described in this Privacy Notice, and only where we have a valid legal basis to do so. Depending on the circumstances, this may be based on your consent, because the processing is necessary to perform a contract with you, to comply with applicable legal obligations, or to support our business purposes and operational needs in a manner consistent with applicable law, including but not limited to the following:
- Managing our contractual obligations and employment relationship, which could include third party partners.

- Managing our business operations and activities, to expand and improve our business by providing you with requested information or services.
- Recruitment, placement, employment, and outsourcing services.

With whom do we share your Personal Data?
The Company may disclose Personal Data to third parties. The disclosure to third parties would occur in the following circumstances:
- We will disclose Candidate’s information to our clients when necessary and appropriate in connection with the provision of staffing and recruitment services.
- We may disclose Candidate’s information to companies and individuals we employ to perform business functions and services on our behalf.
- We may disclose Site user’s and Candidate’s information to the extent necessary or appropriate to government agencies, advisors, and other third parties in order to comply with applicable laws, the service of legal process, or if we reasonably believe that such action is necessary to: (a) comply with the law requiring such disclosure; (b) protect the rights or property of the Company; (c) prevent a crime or protect national security’ or (d) protect the personal safety of the users or the public.
How are we using your Personal Data for Marketing Purposes?
We may use your Personal Data to send you messages about our services, including marketing and employment-related information, via email, SMS, or phone calls. For outreach purposes, we may also collect contact details from publicly available sources such as social media or professional platforms. Where required by law, we will obtain your explicit opt-in before sending such communications.

Use of AI in Recruitment
By providing your Personal Data and engaging with our recruitment platform, you consent to the use of Autonomous AI Tools—defined as agentic artificial intelligence systems capable of initiating and executing recruitment-related tasks with limited human oversight, except where human intervention is required by law. These systems may access, analyze, and process Personal Data to fulfill recruitment objectives, including candidate sourcing, screening, and communication.
The Company engages with Candidates via Autonomous AI Tools, which include but are not limited to phone calls, text messages, and/or emails to share job opportunities. These communications are conducted in accordance with our Privacy Notice and are strictly limited to recruitment-related purposes.
In connection with such communications, the following conditions apply:
- Personal Data obtained will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
- Frequency may vary for text messages.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to cancel or HELP for assistance.
All Personal Data processing conducted by Autonomous AI Tools is subject to applicable data protection laws and AI governance frameworks. Consent for such processing is expected to be explicit, informed, and freely given, and may be withdrawn at any time. We implement safeguards to ensure fairness, transparency, and accountability in all automated recruitment activities.

General Data Subject Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have certain rights relating to your Personal Data. These rights are not always absolute; the right may be subject to certain exemptions or conditions and may depend on the processing activities we exercise regarding your Personal Data. Cross-Border Transfer of Personal Data
Our services and service providers are global. Therefore, we may transfer Personal Data to countries outside of your country of residence, either to the Company or third parties, including to countries which have different data protection standards from those which apply in your country or region of residence. Where we may transfer the data outside your country or region of residence, we shall take appropriate steps as required by the country’s applicable laws, such as a Data Processing Agreement with the Standard Contractual Clauses as required by GDPR, for these cross-border transfers.
Retention of your Personal Data
We retain Personal Data only for as long as it is needed to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, and in line with legal, contractual, and business requirements. When deciding how long to keep data, we consider factors such as the type of data, its sensitivity, the risk of harm if it is misused, and our legal obligations. Once the retention period ends, we follow our data retention policy to delete, anonymize, or de‑identify the data, unless the law requires us to keep it longer for compliance purposes.
How we keep your Personal Data safe?
We are aware of the importance and committed to protecting your Personal Data. We implement adequate technical and organization measures to protect your Personal Data from loss, theft, improper disclosure, illicit use, and other breaches. The Company holds an ISO 27001 and HIPAA certification and confirms that we have deployed adequate security controls which provide an effective framework for protecting Site users and Candidates Personal Data. Information security measures are enforced and maintained, and their operation status is audited to continuously improve the system.
While we use industry standard efforts to secure your data in accordance with this Privacy Notice and applicable laws, no method of transmission over the internet is entirely secure. As such, we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your Personal Data transmitted through our Site, and any such transmission is at your own risk.
How are the cookies managed?
When the user visits the Site, the Company’s server may collect information indirectly and automatically by utilizing the functional cookies to track your online activities, including, but not limited to, registration, submissions, information requests, and for analytic purposes. SMS Messages
When you register on our talent network and provide your phone number, we may use it to send SMS messages related to your registration and recruitment process. These messages may include account and registration confirmations, recruitment updates such as interview scheduling or application status, and security notifications related to your account. We will not sell, share, or disclose your data to third parties, except as necessary to deliver services, fulfil your request, or comply with legal obligations.
Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties without consent.
You may opt out of SMS communications at any time by following the instructions in our “How to Opt Out?” section. Standard message and data rates may apply, and carriers are not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages.
Children Data
Our Services are not intended for children under the age specified in the respective applicable laws. No child should provide any information through the Services. If you are underage, according to applicable law, do not use or provide any information through the Services or any of its features. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children; however, if we learn that we have collected or received personal information from a child without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information.
